Early Saturday morning, an individual shot at military members at the entrance to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. No injuries or threats were reported, and additional armed guards were added as a precaution. Shots were fired again just before 5 a.m. at the same gate, with security personnel returning fire at the suspect vehicle. It was confirmed that neither of the individuals involved were affiliated with the military. The FBI is referring all calls to the San Antonio Police Department, which is leading the investigation. The main gate at the training annex was closed but later reopened, and normal operations resumed. The motive behind the shooting is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
