An 18-year-old, Kyle Jefferey Allan, has been arrested and charged with ten counts of possessing or accessing child sexually exploitative material after police allegedly found child pornography on his phone. Detectives from the ICAC Task Force discovered naked images and videos of children aged three to 14 on Allan’s Discord account, along with mirror selfies of Allan himself. A search warrant executed at Allan’s home in Rexburg led to the seizure of multiple devices containing more child pornography, including a new phone Allan purchased after the initial search warrant.
Allan admitted to viewing child pornography on his devices, and investigators also found evidence of similar allegations in 2022 involving Snapchat. Despite the charges, Allan is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He is currently being held in the Madison County Jail with a bond set at $100,000 and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on September 4. If convicted, Allan could face up to life in prison.
