Three Magic Valley athletes, including Declo senior Bode Brackenbury, Twin Falls junior Dalton Carter, and Kimberly junior Kenyan Hernandez, have been recognized as some of the top 10 defensive backs in Idaho ahead of the 2024 football season. Brackenbury returned from injury to finish with 43 tackles and four interceptions, while Carter had 74 tackles, six interceptions, and a forced fumble last season. Hernandez earned First Team All-Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference honors with 20 tackles and five interceptions.
Brackenbury, Carter, and Hernandez are among seven other Magic Valley players who have been ranked in the top 10 at their respective positions in the state. In addition to these recognitions, other Magic Valley athletes were named top 10 offensive linemen, defensive lineman, special teams player, and wide receivers. These athletes are gearing up for the upcoming season with high hopes for success.
