Idaho Vandals Safeties McCormick and Beachem Provide Stability and Leadership in the Secondary
MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals are gearing up for their upcoming season, and senior safeties Tommy McCormick and Kyrin Beachem are ready to lead the way. Under the guidance of coach Jason Eck, the Vandals are looking to build on their successful 2021 season, in which they finished 9-4 and reached the Football Championship Subdivision quarterfinals.
McCormick, known for his playmaking ability and strong performances on the field, has solidified his role as the boundary safety. With his teammate Beachem playing on the wide field side, the two safeties complement each other well and have developed a strong chemistry on the field.
Both McCormick and Beachem have taken advantage of their opportunities on the field, with McCormick being a force in the secondary and Beachem making key plays in games. As seniors, they are focused on not only improving their own game but also guiding their teammates to success.
With summer workouts on the horizon, McCormick and Beachem are looking to continue their leadership roles and set the tone for the upcoming season. Both players have ambitious goals for the Vandals, with McCormick aiming to excel on the field and pursue medical school after graduation, and Beachem eager to see McCormick return to his “Turnover Tommy” ways.
Coach Eck has instilled a winning culture within the team, and McCormick, Beachem, and their teammates are determined to build on last season’s success and reach even greater heights in the upcoming season. With the Vandals aiming for an 11-win season and a deep playoff run, McCormick and Beachem are ready to lead the charge and make their senior season a memorable one.
