Mims and Brickner Selected for CSC Academic All-District Team

Two Idaho basketball student-athletes, senior Julius Mims and junior Isaiah Brickner, were recognized for their hard work on and off the court by being named to the 2025 Academic All-District Team. The awards, announced by College Sports Communicators, celebrate athletes who excel academically while also making a difference in their respective sports. To qualify for consideration, athletes must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA and participate in a significant portion of their team’s competitions.

Mims, a senior with a 3.81 GPA, is set to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the end of the spring semester. On the court, he started in thirty games, showcasing his skills with an average of 8.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. Mims’ highlight reel dunks brought energy to the ICCU Arena throughout the season.

Brickner, a junior guard, played in all 33 games and started four. He had an impressive three-point shooting percentage of .438, the highest on the team. Brickner, who has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, plans to pursue a Master’s Degree after completing his undergraduate studies in Psychology.

Both student-athletes exemplify the Vandals’ commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom. Their dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and they have rightfully earned a spot on the prestigious Academic All-District Team.
