Vandals finish their final home weekend in Lewiston with a split


Idaho men’s tennis recently wrapped up their final matches in the northern part of the state for the 2024-25 season. The Vandals hosted the Weber State Wildcats in Lewiston, earning a victory with key performances from Francisco Gay, Chetanna Amadike, Sebastian Medica, and Gabriel Moroder. The team then faced off against the top-ranked Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, who secured a 6-1 victory over Idaho, securing at least a share of the conference regular season title.

In the match against Northern Arizona, the Vandals put up a valiant effort but were unable to secure the win, with the Lumberjacks claiming the doubles point and five of the singles matches. Despite this loss, Idaho sits at a 10-7 overall record with a 4-2 conference record heading into the final stretch of the regular season before the Big Sky Tournament in Phoenix.

Next up, the Vandals will be traveling to southern Idaho and northern Utah for two of their final three matches of the regular season. They will face Idaho State in Pocatello on April 12 and Utah State in Logan on April 13.
