Vandals Stage Comeback for Last-Second Victory over Bears


Idaho Men’s Basketball pulled off a thrilling 77-76 victory against the University of Northern Colorado in a nail-biting finish. The Vandals started strong but found themselves trailing at halftime. They made a strong comeback in the second half, shooting 91.3% from the free-throw line and scoring 51 points. With just 3.7 seconds left on the clock, Kolton Mitchell hit a game-winning buzzer-beater from long range to secure the win. Mitchell led the team with 25 points, while Tyler Lindhardt added 17 points and Julius Mims contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds. Kyson Rose also reached the milestone of 1000 career points in the game. The victory handed Northern Colorado their first conference loss of the season. The Vandals will look to build on this momentum when they face Northern Arizona University next, back at home in the ICCU Arena on Saturday at 12 PM PST. Overall, it was a hard-fought and well-deserved win for the Idaho Men’s Basketball team.
