Ann Morrison Park is now connected to Peasley Street!

The Peasley Street Connection in Boise, Idaho is now open to the public after facing delays from engineering, vandalism, and weather challenges. This new staircase connector will significantly reduce travel times for residents of the Boise Bench, cutting their journey to Ann Morrison Baseball Fields in half. Previously, residents had to take a longer route to enter the park, but now they have a straight shot with just 92 stairs to descend. The steel grate staircase also includes a bike runnel, making it easier for cyclists to transport their bikes up and down the connector. The Boise Parks and Recreation Department estimates that around 1,774 households on the Boise Bench will now have convenient access to Ann Morrison Park through this new connection. The opening of the Peasley Street Connection coincides with the upcoming Boise Depot Centennial celebration which kicks off this Sunday. The event will mark 100 years of the iconic building with a variety of festivities. Residents in the area are excited about this new addition that will improve their daily commute and provide easier access to the park. The city is optimistic that this new infrastructure will enhance the quality of life for its residents and encourage more people to enjoy the outdoor amenities available in Boise.
