FBI states that teenager intended to assassinate Trump in addition to murdering parents

A 17-year-old Wisconsin teen, Nikita Casap, was charged with killing his mother and stepfather and accused of plotting to assassinate President Donald Trump. The FBI found a manifesto calling for the president’s assassination while searching for a device that belonged to Casap. He allegedly disclosed his plans on TikTok and Telegram, identifying as a follower of a neo-Nazi cult. Casap allegedly tried to acquire a drone with a dropping mechanism to harm a target. The killing of his parents was seen as a way to obtain funds for his plan. He was arrested in Kansas, 800 miles away from his home, in his stepfather’s car containing weapons and evidence. Casap was initially charged with theft-related offenses before facing homicide charges. The motive behind the killings was not specified, but the FBI mentioned that Casap had shared his plans with a classmate. During a court appearance, details of how his parents were found were revealed. Casap’s attorneys have not commented on the case. The teenager’s actions and alleged plots, including the assassination of the president, have raised concerns about his mental state and involvement with extremist ideologies.
