Idaho’s football program is gearing up for the 2025 season under the leadership of new head coach Thomas Ford. Last season saw them achieve success with wins over FBS opponents and top-25 teams, along with a playoff victory. This year, the Vandals are looking to continue their winning streak and make a mark in the Big Sky Conference.
The offense is returning key players like quarterback Jack Wagner and star running backs Eli Cummings and Nate Thomas. They will be supported by an experienced offensive line and a mix of returning wide receivers and new transfers. Tight end Jake Cox brings a veteran presence to this group.
On the defensive side, Idaho is looking to build upon their strong showing last season. Defensive linemen Sam Brown and Zach Krotzer, along with linebackers Isiah King and Dylan Lane, will anchor the defense. The team has also added new talent in the secondary with transfers Tim Jackson, Khaled Rawls, and Zahkari Spears.
In terms of special teams, the Vandals are set to return their kickers, punters, and long snapper from last season.
Idaho’s upcoming spring game on April 25 will offer fans a chance to see the team in action at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome for free. Updates on event details will be provided soon.
