Idaho Gives, the state’s largest celebration of charitable giving, is set to begin its 13th annual campaign on Monday, April 28th. The four-day event aims to raise funds and awareness for over 630 participating nonprofits. Last year, over 13,600 donors contributed $4.3 million, and this year’s goal is to engage 15,000 donors and raise $4.65 million. The Idaho Community Foundation President, Steve Burns, emphasized the importance of supporting nonprofits that help Idahoans thrive.
Idaho Gives is a collaboration between the Idaho Nonprofit Center and the Idaho Community Foundation, with support from presenting sponsor Idaho Central Credit Union. The campaign is also supported by various sponsors and media partners across the state, highlighting the significance of charitable giving in the community.
Community Development Vice President at ICCU, Laura Smith, expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting the impact it has on nonprofits and local communities. Individuals interested in donating can visit IdahoGives.org for a list of participating nonprofits and information on how to contribute.
With various causes to support, including education, health, food security, and animal shelters, Idaho Gives offers an opportunity for individuals to make a positive impact on the Gem State. Donations will be accepted online starting on April 28th, and the campaign will run through May 1st.
