Free Comic Book Day Set for May 3 at Marshall Public Library
POCATELLO – The Marshall Public Library is excited to join the global celebration of comic culture at the 24th annual Free Comic Book Day. Scheduled for Saturday, May 3, the event opens its doors at 10 a.m. at 113 South Garfield Avenue in Pocatello. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as supplies are limited.
This community-oriented event is free and requires no registration, making it accessible to all. In addition to receiving a complimentary comic book, participants can engage in a comic-themed craft project, tackle an entertaining puzzle, and snap pictures at a hero-themed photo spot. A special thanks is extended to Bob Beason, owner of Captain Bengal’s Comic Cove, for his invaluable support in organizing the event, including supplying the comics and photo cutouts.
Free Comic Book Day is celebrated worldwide, where over 2,000 comic book shops and libraries unite to offer fans a selection of special edition comics at no charge. This year, the official selection committee has curated 46 exciting titles from beloved franchises such as Star Wars, Godzilla, Transformers, Mega Man, and Street Fighter.
