Registration Opens for North Idaho Women and Their Money Conference
North Idaho College is set to host the inaugural North Idaho Women and Their Money Conference on June 9, a free event aimed at enhancing financial confidence among women from diverse backgrounds. Registration opens Monday, with organizers expressing excitement about the wide-ranging demographics expected to attend.
The conference, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature various sessions covering entrepreneurship, wealth building, insurance, and financial stability. Among the highlights is a keynote presentation by New York Times best-selling author and financial expert Ellen Rogin, known for her approachable communication style. “She helps demystify financial topics, making them feel less intimidating,” said co-organizer Teresa Irish.
With seating for 500 attendees—expanded due to community interest—the conference aims to empower women at all stages of their financial journeys, from single mothers to those planning for retirement. Co-organizer Jan Tymesen emphasized the importance of understanding financial terms and strategies, stating, “This knowledge will provide security and foster other life goals.”
In addition to educational resources, attendees will have the chance to win one of several $1,000 NIC scholarships aimed at supporting vocational training and workforce development. Interested participants can indicate their desire for scholarship consideration during registration.
