In a recent DEA operation, approximately 114 undocumented immigrants were detained at an underground nightclub in Colorado. This raid, which occurred following a lengthy investigation into the Colorado Springs club, took place late Saturday into early Sunday. Some patrons, including two confirmed with active state warrants, were arrested. DEA Special Agent Jonathan Pullen noted the presence of firearms, drugs—specifically cocaine found in small packages—and more than a dozen active-duty service members who were either disguised as patrons or working as armed security.
The DEA’s investigation suggested that the club was a hub for drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes. Pullen indicated that surveillance revealed significant illegal activities taking place there. Video footage of the raid was shared on social media, showing law enforcement officers surrounding the club and issuing warnings for those inside to exit peacefully.
Former President Donald Trump shared videos from the raid and claimed that some of those detained were violent criminals. However, the DEA did not confirm any murder charges among the detainees. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi mentioned that members of violent gangs like Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua and MS-13 were among those apprehended.
The operation’s broad approach raised concerns among immigrant advocacy groups, who emphasized the rights of those detained to remain silent and seek legal representation. The Colorado Rapid Response Network urged families to inform their loved ones of their rights, as one partygoer recounted being handcuffed briefly before being released. The investigation is ongoing, with additional operations planned across the city.
