Charges Filed Against Mountain Home Pastor and Daycare Director for Human Trafficking and Sexual Assault
Boise, Idaho — Gregory Wayne Jones, a pastor at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church and director of operations at The NXT Dream Center in Mountain Home, faces serious allegations including human trafficking and sexual assault. The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jones on April 25, following an investigation that began in January after multiple victims provided critical evidence.
Parents are outraged, especially concerned mother Kerstyn Tracy, who learned about the charges through social media instead of official communication from the daycare. “I am disgusted and angry at the lack of transparency,” Tracy stated. She emphasized the need for better communication, expressing distrust in local authorities and daycare facilities, especially given that Jones had previously been the primary point of contact for parents and had close interactions with the children.
Currently held on a $1 million bail, Jones was active in transporting children and managing day-to-day operations at the daycare. “The fact that he was under investigation for sex crimes raises alarms about the safety of our children,” Tracy said, highlighting her frustrations with the facility’s failure to provide timely updates or acknowledge the situation.
In recognition of his community service, Jones was named “Person of the Year” during the 24th Annual Black History Banquet in 2013. However, the allegations against him have now sparked serious concerns among parents. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities believe there may be additional victims. The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to come forward.
As the community seeks answers, the demand for accountability and transparency grows stronger.
