Idaho Falls Man Charged with Lewd Conduct Involving Minor
IDAHO FALLS — Tytus Domitry Nowakowski, 25, was charged with lewd conduct with a child under 16 after a woman reported that their sexual relationship began when she was just 15 and he was 19. If convicted, Nowakowski faces a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.
According to court documents, the investigation began after the woman reported the alleged abuse to the Idaho Falls Police Department in December 2022. Nowakowski was formally charged in February 2025, with his first court appearance scheduled for April 28.
The woman indicated she had initially contacted Nowakowski via Snapchat when she was 14. Although she disclosed her age, he allegedly pursued her for sexual encounters, expressing disinterest in a relationship due to her youth. The two eventually met in person, where she claimed Nowakowski would pick her up and engage in sexual acts in parking lots behind local businesses. This activity reportedly took place from August to September 2019 and continued until she turned 18.
A third-party witness corroborated the woman’s allegations, stating they had seen the pair kissing in a vehicle. The woman estimated that sexual encounters occurred between 30 and 70 times during the relationship.
Nowakowski is scheduled to appear before Magistrate Judge John Dewey on May 16. It is important to note that a charge does not equate to guilt, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
