Local Shelters Receive Generous Donation Ahead of Mother’s Day
Idaho Falls, ID – In a heartwarming gesture just before Mother’s Day, Two Men and a Truck, a moving company based in Idaho Falls, delivered over 4,000 donated items to two local shelters: the Bingham Crisis Center and the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission. The donation included essential items such as bath and body care products, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, dry goods, shoes, clothing, and bedding.
The drop-off took place on Wednesday at the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission and on Thursday at the Bingham Crisis Center. Lucas Keefe, part-owner and general manager of Two Men and a Truck, expressed his joy in witnessing the positive impact of the donations on shelter residents. "Being able to give back to such an amazing community is so rewarding," he stated.
The donations were gathered from local businesses and community members during the company’s annual Movers for Moms drive, with Keller Williams Realty sponsoring a notable donation day at Fred Meyer, where over 2,000 items were collected. This marked the first year that Two Men and a Truck collaborated with the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, although they had previously supported the Bingham Crisis Center.
Scott Smith, Executive Director of the Bingham Crisis Center, noted the generous contribution and emphasized the need for such items among the clients they serve. Meanwhile, Kami Higham, donor relations coordinator at the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, praised the community’s spirit of giving, highlighting the impact of donations from generous individuals.
Keefe expressed his gratitude for the support of Keller Williams and other local businesses that contributed to the success of the donation drive. “It was an amazing turnout, and I couldn’t be more thankful,” he said.
