Fatal Collision on Lewisville Highway Claims One Life
Bonneville County, ID – A tragic accident occurred on Friday afternoon on Lewisville Highway, resulting in one fatality and one severe injury. Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the two-vehicle collision just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of 5th East and 97th North.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered a pickup truck and a smaller car that had collided head-on, leading both vehicles to overturn. The driver of the pickup, a 21-year-old male, was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. Unfortunately, the driver of the car, a 61-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest that the pickup truck, which was traveling southbound, crossed the center line, colliding with the northbound car. The Bonneville County Coroner’s Office was also on the scene to assist with the investigation.
Authorities have confirmed that there were no other occupants in either vehicle. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing, with no further details available at this time.
