Idaho Falls’ "Alive After 5" Concert Series Moves to Scenic Greenbelt Bandshell
IDAHO FALLS — After several successful years at Civitan Plaza, the beloved summer event "Alive After 5" has relocated to the picturesque Greenbelt Bandshell along the Snake River. This shift is set to enhance the weekly concert vibes, promising more space and amenities for attendees.
Taking place every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through August 31, "Alive After 5," hosted by the Civitan Club of Idaho Falls, remains a free community gathering known for its live music, local food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Organizer McKayla Matlack shared that the move allows for improved parking and shade, addressing the event’s growth and enhancing accessibility for attendees and food vendors alike.
“While a lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into Civitan Plaza, ‘Alive After 5’ simply outgrew it. This new location better celebrates our local culture and musical talent,” Matlack explained.
Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy evenings filled with music and socializing, while also contributing to a greater cause. The Civitan Club uses proceeds from the event to support local playgrounds, scholarships, accessibility initiatives, and programs for individuals with disabilities.
The 2025 concert lineup features a diverse mix of local favorites and new acts, kicking off with The Bonneville Flats on June 4 and wrapping up with Gas Food & Lodging on August 27. Upcoming performances also include Scratch, Altered Edge, and Blue Caribou.
