University of Idaho Football Schedule Highlights ESPN Broadcasts for 2025 Season
MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho’s football team is poised for an exciting 2025 season, building on the momentum from their recent back-to-back FCS playoff quarterfinal appearances. As part of this year’s schedule, four Big Sky Conference regular-season games will be featured on ESPN networks, showcasing the Vandals under first-year head coach Thomas Ford Jr.
Among the much-anticipated matchups, Idaho will face Montana on September 27 in a storied rivalry for the "Little Brown Stein," the oldest traveling trophy in the Big Sky Conference. This matchup promises added excitement as the game will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, with kickoff time yet to be announced. Last season, Idaho achieved a significant milestone by defeating Montana 30-23, breaking a seven-game losing streak that dated back to November 1999.
The Vandals will also have a match against Northern Arizona, which has been rescheduled to October 31 for an 8:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN2. Notably, Idaho is one of just two teams in the Big Sky to have multiple games featured on ESPN networks this season, continuing a tradition of high visibility with at least two games aired on network television for the third consecutive year.
Kicking off their season at Washington State on August 30, Idaho will also play home games against teams like St. Thomas and Sacramento State. The final regular-season clash is set against rival Idaho State in Moscow on November 22.
With a strong lineup and elevated media presence, the Vandals are looking to build on their recent success and rally support from fans across the region.
