His journey into motorsports began with a Christmas gift – a go-kart from his father, a devoted car enthusiast. While the allure of Formula 1 was strong, Persing prioritized his education and opted for a more balanced lifestyle, choosing Boise State for his college experience. "There just isn’t really a good path for it in the United States. I wanted to go to college, which is why I’m at Boise State," he said.
Transitioning to GT sports car racing has proven beneficial for Persing. He has aligned himself with Wayne Taylor Racing, a respected team in the industry, where he has celebrated multiple victories. "I’ve gotten to know these guys over the past couple years. I love these guys; they’re like family," he noted.
In addition to his racing achievements, Persing has created a unique helmet design featuring a split color scheme that incorporates Boise State’s blue and orange. "This has started to become my thing," he explained, expressing pride in merging his educational journey with his racing identity.
