Boise State Launches Bronco Studios with Jay Tust as Host
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics is set to unveil Bronco Studios, an innovative in-house media platform, this August. Award-winning local sports anchor Jay Tust, previously a 14-year veteran at KTVB NewsChannel 7, will lead the studio, which aims to enhance storytelling for the Boise State community.
Bronco Studios will produce daily and weekly live shows, as well as original content focusing on Boise State student-athletes, coaches, and the local community. Fans can access the programming for free on Boise State Athletics’ YouTube and social media channels, along with on-demand options through BroncoSports.com and the Bronco Sports mobile app.
Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State’s Director of Athletics, emphasized the importance of Tust’s role, stating that his expertise will provide a trusted voice for Bronco Nation. "This free, ad-supported platform offers fans a new way to stay informed and entertained," said Dickey.
Tust expressed excitement about his new role, recognizing the transformative moment in college sports. "Leading Bronco Studios is an innovative opportunity that allows me to stay connected with a community I love," he remarked. Celebrated for his accolades, which include a regional Edward R. Murrow Award and a northwest Emmy, Tust looks forward to sharing compelling stories from the sidelines of Boise State sports.
Bronco Studios will also create unique programming, including "The C.L.I.M.B." and "Inside Training Camp." The facility will be located on the west side of Albertsons Stadium, featuring dedicated office spaces and a live production studio. In addition, Boise State Athletics extends its partnership with KTVB, ensuring select shows will be viewable on KTVB platforms.
With plans to produce over 60 game broadcasts annually, Bronco Studios marks a significant development in Boise State’s media landscape, enhancing the connection between the university and its passionate fanbase.
